OUR PROGRAM
The Makers Club offers after-school enrichment centered around STEAM education, fostering children's self-assurance, problem-solving abilities, social-emotional development, and creative thinking.
What is STEAM?
The acronym STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. STEAM education is rooted in project-based and cross-disciplinary methods, placing a significant emphasis on problem-solving and collaboration. It serves not only as an educational model but also as a way of approaching life.

We do not require students to participate in a project. If a student chooses not to partake in guided projects or tinkering we offer other options for creative engagement.

Artist, Samuel Price and Leah McNamee are both San Franciscan natives having grown up in the beloved Sunset district. "As locals, we are very passionate about our community and are now enjoying raising our 3 children in the neighborhood!" Sam and Leah have been operating their own art business for the past 20 years which has included teaching events and workshops, exhibitions, public art installations and festivals.
As a professional collage artist and an art educator, Sam has taught his techniques to students of all ages and abilities, and he's been thrilled to see an overwhelmingly positive response within the community. Sam is releasing his first collage art tutorial book this Fall, "Paper Collage Workshop"
Leah earned her degree in Art History from SF State and continued her creative pursuits as an Art Education Coordinator and Web/Graphic Designer.
